Chromebook 11 Charges with MicroUSB
Regardless of what we think about Chromebooks, these barebones laptops are consistently among the best selling computers on Amazon. Part of that is due to price--Samsung's 11-inch Chromebook only costs $250, which is fair for a web browser with a full-sized keyboard. Google today announced the HP Chromebook 11, which looks very comparable to Samsung's best-seller. HP's Chromebook also has an 11-inch 1366x768 screen (IPS, but non-touch), runs on a Samsung Exynos 5250 dual-core ARM processor, has 2GB of RAM and 16GB solid state storage, and two USB ports. It curiously charges with a microUSB connector, which doubles as a SlimPort video out, and HP claims 6 hours of use. Price is a littler higher than Samsung's model at $280, but Google is throwing in 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years, 60 days of Google Music All Access, and 12 complimentary GoGo Inflight sessions.
